Welcome to Doven. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Doven website, applications, and services (“Service”). By using Doven, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

Doven is an email automation platform that allows users to connect their own Gmail accounts and send email messages, campaigns, or transactional messages using Google’s Gmail API. Doven acts only on instructions explicitly provided by the user.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Doven. By using the Service, you represent that you are legally permitted to do so.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Google Authentication & Gmail Access

Doven uses Google OAuth to connect to your Gmail account. By authorizing Doven, you grant permission to access Gmail scopes that you explicitly approve during the consent process.

Doven only uses Gmail access to perform actions you request, such as sending email.
Doven does not sell, analyze, or use Gmail data for advertising purposes.
You may revoke access at any time through Google Account settings or within Doven.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree that you will not use Doven to:

Send spam, phishing, or deceptive messages.
Violate Google’s policies, Gmail policies, or applicable email laws (including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or similar regulations).
Transmit malware, harmful code, or abusive content.
Impersonate others or misrepresent the origin of messages.

You are solely responsible for the content and recipients of all emails sent through your connected Gmail accounts.

6. Rate Limits & Abuse Prevention

Doven may enforce sending limits, throttling, or temporary restrictions to prevent abuse, protect system stability, and comply with Google’s Gmail API usage policies.

7. Data Storage & Security

Doven stores OAuth tokens and user data in encrypted form and applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. However, no system is completely secure, and use of the Service is at your own risk.

8. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Doven if:

You violate these Terms.
Your usage threatens the security, integrity, or reputation of Doven or Google services.
We are required to do so by law or by Google policy.

You may stop using Doven at any time and revoke Gmail access through your Google account.

9. Third-Party Services

Doven relies on third-party services including Google APIs and cloud hosting providers. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doven shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of email deliverability, or account suspension by Google or other providers.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted at https://doven.onrender.com/terms. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
